About Sarah
Hi! I'm Sarah, a New England girl transplanted to sunny San Diego. I have been a professional photographer for over 30 years! I've worked in just about every genre from weddings, to familes and newborns, to now specalizing in Brand, Headshot and Beauty Photography.
I fell in love with photography in my teens when I discovered that I could capture a moment and replay that story every time I viewed the image. When I got serious about photography, I interned for years with a photographer in my home town before opening my own studio in 1997. I loved capturing moments and stories and still do!
But what fires me up now isn't just the taking of photos, it's that moment when I watch you, my client, let down your guard, become vulnerable and let the real you shine!
So, here's the deal. I'm not exactly a fan of being in front of the camera myself. But hey, that little quirk of mine has actually turned me into a pretty darn good photographer. Being on the other side of the lens has made me super tuned in to what my
clients feel, making me more empathetic, intuitive, and patient.
When I'm shooting, it's not just about clicking away. I take
the time to chat with my clients, get to know their vibe, and understand what they're all about. Creating that personal connection is key—it's like hanging out with a friend (who just so happens to have a knack for snapping killer shots).
